There's still a lot to do with the GDD

I've been designing cards for all the characters. One big snag is that cards kind of have to be designed thematically before they're designed mechanically, otherwise I'd just have to go back and do a lot of things over again. Designing thematically also helps find the character's ability and influences various mechanical abilities of each card belonging to that character.

Take Samantha. She's a strong character. So we give her the ability to shine in combat, giving her a buff whenever she defeats adversaries. One card even lets her turn regular tasks into adversaries.

So we've got Casino cards that are either universal (like a vending machine) or equipment type like a broom. Meaning most equipment cards will be Casino type.

Job cards are always specific to the job.

Character cards are more mixed. 85% of them don't focus on jobs because these characters should be able to work on any job. 15% of them deal with their job in whatever unique way.

Work
Listen
Sport/Exercise
History
Food
Happy trait
Cope trait
Anger trait
Friend
Resting thing
Hobby
Group of people
Job related

So I came up with a generic list of what each character card will thematically go over. It's just taking longer than I expected.
