I have been working hard at real work... coming back home late. It's just the season for business. It's very stressful to think about. I like thinking about this game though. It's a great escape. I took those days in the past for granted.
I've made a lot of progress on the card texts.
Design wise, I'd say...
280 character cards
190ish finished, design only
60 Task cards
20ish finished, design only
80ish Job cards
20ish finished, design only.
So I'm about 240 cards out of 420 cards.
Slay the Spire has 370 cards. The game I'm designing is definitely more complicated than Slay the Spire, and it'll have more funky interactions, but I can definitely see whittling down the number of cards to something like 350 good cards, and then hentai will have it's own whopper of 200 or so... aided by AI I guess.
All cards have a rough design, they just haven't been balanced or... connected very well to other cards. They need another go around.
So I'm rushing on design. I'm trying to get a full playthrough by hand. Then I can see what works, what doesn't. What needs to stay in... Then I can get back to Art. I've been making art here and there, just not sharing it yet.
Here's a favorite... Karachinpokke. Literally it means Empty Penis but it's suppose to be Karaoke+ Penis. Next is Karachinbukkake.Anyways. I'm not sure if it'll matter in the future, what with AI bots passing turing tests and making better stories for Star Wars than Disney can. Maybe all I'm doing won't matter. I need to try. This is the highlight of my life.
I think a lot of use of AI in creative spaces has been disastrous, but you've really unlocked the secret for excellent art by hybridizing it yourself. Everything you've posted over the last few weeks has looked incredible. Now I'm tempted to blend AI on my own projects, ahaha. I hope the rest of the card design goes smoothly!
